Firehost of Eternal Night

I play Eldar: I field what I call the Firehost of Eternal Night, of the Craftworld of Ulthwé. Here are some pictures:

  • Dreadnought, front shot (22 KB). A dreadnought that is standard, but for the 'old-style' head. In this picture, it seems ready to rip off your head and stomp you into the ground.
  • Dreadnought, side shot (21 KB). A shot that shows the dreadnought's weapons: a lascannon and two powerfists, with shuriken catapults. With its small, 'old-style' head it looks very elegant.
  • Wraithguard squad (21 KB). Just your basic 5 Wraithguard. This squad is much hated by the Fourth Company of a certain Dark Angels' descendants' Space Marines Chapter.
  • Howling Banshee Exarch (19 KB). A simple conversion in which I moved the Power Axe from the right hand to the left hand and put a Web Of Skulls in the right hand.
  • Dire Avenger Exarch (15 KB). A very simple conversion, but finely done. I took off the left hand, turned it up, put a Shuriken Catapult on the top and wrapped the pointing index finger into the trigger guard.
  • Dark Reaper Exarch (14 KB). A massive conversion in which both arms went (the Web Of Skulls you can find on the Howling Banshee Exarch above) and were replaced with the shoulders and arms of Maugan Ra, with the left arm scultped out of epoxy putty, since Maugan Ra's is attached to the body and didn't come off, let alone cleanly. The weapon is the Maugetar, sans power blade.
  • Fire Dragon Aspect Warrior (10 KB). Just your standard Fire Dragon. I just took this picture since the color shift with the lights I'm using right now shows up strongest on the Fire Dragons and the Howling Banshee Exarch.

These pictures are taken with a Minolta camera with Macrolens, on a tripod, using Kodak Royal Gold 100 film. They are developed as Jumbo prints (4" x 6") and scanned at 150% using a Hewlett-Packard ScanJet. All this equipment is courtesy of Scott Theuss, who also provides the scanning equipment and time. Thanks, Scott!

I'm still looking to improve the lighting, since I'm using those bright, bright 'construction' lights. They are nice, but too bright, and too yellow.

Bullwhip Cracking
I attended a bullwhip handling seminar given by Gery L. Deer in Ann Arbor, organised by a friend of mine who had seen Gery perform at a local Science Fiction convention. Since I have practiced diligently and acquired two more whips: it is boatloads of fun!
Tekumel Published
With two friends I have developed a new RPG set on Tekumel for Guardians Of Order, a Canadian RPG company. It is out!
RPG Updates
I have been running my new game settings, based on my serial campaign concept, as well as have complete websites: ShadowWorld Mainline, ShadowWorld WWII and Grand Design.
I am working on a new current day ShadowWorld setting, with a new, entirely different cosmology.
Underworld is now ShadowWorld
Underworld, though laying claim to prior use, was renamed to ShadowWorld in the summer of 2002, to avoid confusion with earlier published role playing games with same or similar names.
It was moved to its own website.
